Join me as we delve deep into the world of Technical Crochet. Using your intermediate knowledge of Single, Half Double and Double Crochet (US Terminology), you will some of the more complex and trickier crochet techniques, namely:

All yarn for the course will be provided and, as a crocheter, you may already have your own crochet hooks, however, there will be the option to have these provided for you if you require.

Are you interested in learning to crochet but don't know where to start? Maybe you've tried before and found yourself getting frustrated. Whatever your reason, crochet is a wonderfully versatile craft as well as having some amazing mental health benefits, such as:

- Relieving depression
- Boosting confidence
- Assisting with insomnia
- Reducing Dementia
- Calming anxiety
- Reducing stress

Every week I'll have a new project to work on and I'll guide you through reading patterns, deciphering charts and give you hints and tips along the way.
Absolute beginners are welcome! I'll get you started from the very beginning and work with you at your own pace until you are ready to move on to something new. Remember, everyone learns at different rates so there's no pressure to complete a task in a certain time frame! 
You don't need to bring anything with you - I can loan you everything you need to get started and, if you're hooked by the end of class, you can take away your yarn and I'll tell you the best places to get hooks and even more yarn! 
Experienced crocheters can enjoy the challenge of a new pattern each week and work on things they may never have attempted before. There's always something new to learn and it's a great opportunity to meet fellow crocheters!

No-one was under pressure to "keep up" and we all achieved in our own time. Great intro - I am a complete novice . Never even held a crochet needle before and was really struggling with grasping tension and technique but Becky couldn’t have been more patient. I never felt stupid for asking her to slow down and repeat or to restart and try again. I definitely need some time on my own to get the hang of it as my hands aren’t as nimble as I want them to be but the group was lovely and encouraging and would recommend anyone to give it a go!

Becky is an amazing teacher. I have tried for so many years to crochet and couldn't do it. By my second class Becky had taught me 3 different stitches and I finally managed to crochet a square. I was over the moon. With those 3 stitches I wanted to run before I could walk, su do,  and I only went and made a big chunky scarf.  I was well chuffed and so was Becky. If you want to learn to crochet, go to one of Becky's classes. You'll love it, and everyone is so lovely in the class, and with plenty of laughs along the way. I couldn't recommend Becky's ' Off the Hook' class enough. Come on and try it. If I can do it, anyone can.

Make a hedgehog, choose from three options. Oh no, decision time! What on earth possessed me to opt for the "loopy" version, the most "fiddly"? Perhaps the name reflects my personality!! Becky gave me lots of support & thoughtfully provided a video link to consolidate learning the loop stitch at home. I like the way she includes a breakdown of stitch formation on her individual patterns, it's so helpful.  Looking forward to the next class.

Lisa finally got me on an even keel, not that I done much, but was finally getting my head round what I was trying to doing.
